On July 1, 2003 the Long Beach Pilot Boat arrived in Halifax harbor for sea trials and to be placed on a container vessel for shipment to California. After the end of sea trials on July 3 the vessel was prepared to be lifted on to a cradle at the Halterm Container Terminal July 4.
On July 5 the Zim Israel Navigation Co vessel Zim Mediterranean arrived at the Halterm Terminal to have the Pilot Boat loaded on to its aft deck to be shipped.
