The name E.Y.E. reflects the first initials of the three original owners of
the company when it was incorporated in 1967. The late Maurice Evans brought
his experience in engineering and salvage when the Evans Engineering Co. was
merged with the Yeatman, Endal Co. Martin Yeatman, now retired from EYE, was
with the company until 1991, whilst Andy Endal presently works with the
Norwegian Fisheries Institute in his native Norway. Restructured in 1991, the
name, logo and established reputation of E.Y.E. has been maintained by the
present owners, who are all long serving employees of the company. |

1998 saw an historic event for EYE. While 31 years of operation is
not generally a momentous anniversary, Andy Endal and Martin Yeatman dropped
by for a visit and by luck the present owners, Iain Tulloch, Tony Thompson
and Bill Smart were in the office (see photograph below). |

E.Y.E. Marine. Absent was Jackie Burnes who was taking a well
desrved vacation.
