Naval Architect

Tony has worked at EYE since 1980 when he graduated from the Marine Institute in St. Johns Nfld. While working, he completed the prerequisites for his Professional license in 1992 by attending part time at TUNS (now Dalhousie). From 1999-2021 Tony had been the President and Chief Naval Architect at EYE. During that time EYE was responsible for many innovative and successful projects representing approximately $150 million in construction costs. These projects have included the acquisition project for the Grand Manan Ferry, many ferries for New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and the longest  cable ferry in the world for BC Ferries. As principal designers EYE has numerous other vessels in our portfolio including Voith escort tug boats, yachts, pilot vessel, numerous high speed passenger vessels and the new series of  catamarans that provide daily tours to the foot of Niagara Falls throughout the summer.
