Designed, built and owned by our president, Iain Tulloch, "Zimaz" is a 12.8m yacht designed to accommodate 4 to 8 people, depending on the level of comfort desired. Built of a wood core glass composite, the vessel was completed in 3 years. "Zimaz" complies with Fastnet Screen and ABS Offshore Yacht rule standards and has a range of stability in excess of 140 degrees. The hull components were lofted full scale using E.Y.E.'s own CADD lofting techniques.

Fitted with a Volvo 2003 Turbo 40hp engine and carrying 79 square metres of sail area, the yacht achieves speeds of 9 knots under power and a steady 7.7 knots upwind in a 20 knot breeze and tacks through less than 80 degrees.

"Zimaz" represents Iain's idea of the ultimate fast cruising yacht, single or two handed.
