This custom built RHIB boat, “The Flowerpot Express” was designed and built to operate as part of the Blue Heron Fleet of Tobermory, Ontario, touring Flowerpot Island, and the surrounding waters of northern Lake Huron. It is used as an open high speed tour boat for 83 passengers, plus 2 crew.
The design included arrangement and structural drawings and calculations, weight estimate and stability. Full set of lofted structural parts and build specification.

Machinery and Auxiliary Systems
Main Engine:
Propulsion power is supplied by three CAT C12, D-rated(Intermittent duty) marine diesel engines rated at 570 BHP @ 2300 RPM. The engine is certified EPA Tier II and IMO emissions compliant.
Jet Drive:
The drive units are three HJ 322 Hamilton Jet water-jets. Jet drive units are isolated to prevent corrosion.
Outfit
Maintenance free foam collar replaces traditional inflatable collar.
